Directly after surgery, you will have surgical dressings around your breasts and chest. You will likely wear a compression garment to aid with swelling and keep you comfortable. You will likely experience some discomfort, but this will be easily managed with prescription or over-the-counter medication. Swelling typically subsides after a few weeks, but it may take several months to fully resolve.
During the first few days after your breast augmentation, you will need to get plenty of rest and avoid strenuous activity, including bending or lifting.
